After three years, Palestinian government meets in Gaza


(MENAFN) The government met in Gaza after 3 years, aiming for the globally recognized Palestinian Authority to regain control of the region.

Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, vowed again to end the 10-year-old conflict between the Hamas movement and his government in the West Bank.

He said: "We are here to turn the page on division, restore the national project to its correct direction and establish the (Palestinian) state."

Under Egyptian pressure, Hamas agreed for the PA to return, after they expelled them in 2007.
