Foreign Minister of Iran to visit Qatar


(MENAFN) The foreign Minister of Iran, Mohammed Javad Zarif, is on his way to Qatar for the first time since the gulf countries and Egypt cut ties with it, to discuss their own relations which have been causing tensions for their neighboring countries.

The Qatari foreign Minister stated that moves by the country's opponents, were cornering Al-Doha to have closer relations with Iran.

According to the official Oman News Agency, Zarif have discussed energy, transit and economy, in addition to the possible "transfer of Iranian gas through the Sultanate of Oman to India", during his visit to Muscat.

The two countries have decided to establish pipelines underwater, in order to pump Iranian gas to Oman.
