Strong performance of industrial producers in Qatar


(MENAFN) According to official data, the income of Qatar's Industrial Producers have shown a strong performance subsequently in August, mostly on higher prices of refined petroleum products, hydrocarbons, and other chemical products and fibers.

The producer price index for mining, with weight of 72.7% utmost, witnessed a 10.1 flow this August, as a result of 10.2% raise in petroleum and natural gas prices, 2.4 in clay, sand and stone.


The PPI for manufacturing sector, with a weigh of 26.8%, saw an increase of 11.1%, due to a 19.2% increase in refined petroleum products, 0.1% in dairy products, 1.9% in rubber and plastics products, 6.1% in juices, 1.7% in basic metals, 0.8% in grain mill and other products, 0.3% in basic chemicals and 16.7% in other chemical products and fibers.

The index of the utilities group increased 4.7% in August this year, as water prices ascended 18.1%, and electricity charges decreased 6.2%.
