2017 Nobel Prize in Physiology or medicine winners revealed


(MENAFN) The Nobel Committee announced on Monday that three scientists will share 2017 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

Secretary of the Nobel Committee for Physiology or Medicine, Thomas Perlman announced the three winners during a press conference in Stockholm, Sweden, in October 2nd of 2017.

The Nobel at the Karolinska Institute has decided to award the 2017 Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine mutually to Jeffrey C. Hall, Michael Rosbash and Michael W. Young for their discoveries of molecular mechanisms controlling the circadian rhythm.

This year's prize is 9 million SEK (1.1 million U.S. dollars).
