(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: Six Kuwaiti citizens including two women were arrested in possession of drugs and liquor in Capital Governorate, reports Al-Anba daily. In detail, securitymen launched several campaigns in a number of areas within Capital, Hawally and Ahmadi governorates. While patrolling Dasma area, a patrol team suspected two Kuwaiti citizens and searched them to find four used cigarettes stuffed with hashish, 'Lyrica' pills and rizla papers for rolling hashish.

Also, two women were arrested in Salmiya area in possession of narcotic substances as well as a used cigarette stuffed with a substance that is suspected to be hashish. Furthermore, an Indian expatriate was arrested in possession of 130 bottles of locally manufactured liquor.

Ahmadi securitymen noticed the suspect driving in the opposite direction of the traffic and chased him. After catching him, they checked his car to find the liquor bottles. In addition, Ahmadi securitymen, under the supervision of Ahmadi Security Director Abdullah Al Safa, arrested a man in possession of 79 bottles of liquor.

They were patrolling Mahboula area when they suspected the man who was standing in a dirt field with several bags next to him. He tried to escape after noticing the patrol team but he was apprehended. All arrested individuals were referred with the contraband to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Farwaniya securitymen arrested a Bedoun and a GCC national wanted by law for involvement in an undisclosed case with narcotic substances, drug paraphernalia, 20 mobile phones, laptops, KD 53 cash and civil identification cards in their possession.

While patrolling in Farwaniya, the securitymen noticed the erratic movement of a vehicle so they signaled for the driver — a Bedoun — to pull over for inspection. This led to the discovery of a cigarette filled with hashish, a pack of shabu, mobile phones, drug paraphernalia, some cash and other items. When the officers checked the vehicle's records, they found out the Bedoun and his companion (a GCC national) are wanted by law for involvement in an undisclosed case. The two suspects and the confiscated items were referred to the Drug Control General Department (DCGD).
