Cycle 5 of accelerator program launched


(MENAFN) Cycle 5 of Qatar Science & Technology Park's (QSTP) intensive accelerator program "XLR8" is recently launched by Qatar's primary pioneer for technology innovation and tech-based entrepreneurship QSTP.

Helping the entrepreneurs to build bridge between innovation and commercialization and turning their ideas into products by training, guidance and membership, these future products will be addressing and fulfilling market demands.

Representing a broad range of tech applications and innovations, a total of 20 teams were chosen for Cycle 5, on team, Muhami, is setting up an online service for legal advice, while Royability is creating a speech-generation app to help autistic children speak.

However, there are other innovations such as drone delivery systems, a web platform for hiring and managing remote workers and an automated cyber security solution.

Three teams have emerged as part of Challenge 22, a competition run by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy for innovative ideas relating to the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Their ideas consist of a wearable dehydration detection system for workers, a central smart queuing system, and smart football shirts that can predict cardiac events such as heart attacks or angina.
