Qatar- QSE's benchmark index dropped 48.34 points last week

Qatar Stock Exchange's (QSE) benchmark index lost 48.34 points, or 0.58 percent, last week when the bourse closed yesterday at 8,312.43 points.
Trading value last week increased by 17.96 percent to reach QR1.24bn compared to QR1.05bn.
Trading volume decreased by 2.65 percent to reach 56.91 million shares, as against 58.46 million shares, while the number of transactions rose by 29.53 percent, to reach 15,702 transactions compared to 12,122 transactions in the previous week.
Market cap fell by 0.40 percent to reach QR454.61bn compared to QR456.42bn at the end of the previous week.Banking and financial services sector led traded value last week with 47.75 percent of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 21.51 percent. Real estate sector accounted for 11.56 percent and telecoms sector accounted for 7.45 percent.
Industries sector led traded volume last week with 32.82 percent of the total traded volume. Banking and financial services sector accounted for 30.98 percent. Real estate sector accounted for 15.97 percent and telecoms sector accounted for 13.16 percent.
Banking and financial services sector led traded number of transactions last week with 33.89 percent of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 25.77 percent. Real estate sector accounted for 14.41 percent and transportation sector accounted for 10.37 percent.
Out of the 45 listed companies 23 ended last week higher, while 21 fell and one remained unchanged. QNB led trading value last week accounting for 23.38 percent of the total trading value. Investment Holding Group accounted for 9.00 percent and Masraf Al Rayan accounted for 6.58 percent, reports QNA.
When compared on daily basis, the QSE index dropped 108.77 points, or 1.29 percent, yesterday compared to Wednesday's closing. The volume of shares traded decreased to 10.40 million from 13.60 million on Wednesday and the value of shares decreased to QR181.66m from QR302.75m on Wednesday.
Out of the 45 companies listed on QSE, shares of 39 saw trading yesterday. From these, 12 gained and 27 closed lower. Indices of one sectors ended in green and remained six sectors ended in red today. QSE Total Return Index lost 1.29 percent to 13,939.45 points. QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index decreased 1.08 percent to 3,383.56 points and QSE All Share Index declined 1.44 percent to 2,369.22 points.
