Kane Richardson picked up three wickets as Australia defeated India by 21 runs in the fourth ODI match at Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. India lead the five match series 3-1.

Apart from registering their first away win in 12 ODI matches, Australia broke India's unbeaten run of nine matches.

Record partnership between Warner and Finch

Australian openers David Warner and Aaron Finch put on 231 runs for the first wicket, recording Australia's highest opening stand against India.

The visitors added 63 runs in the first 10 overs without losing a wicket, their highest in this series. It was also the first time since 2013 that an opening pair has scored 100-plus runs against men in blue in India.


Australia vice-captain scores 14th ODI century

David Warner slammed his 14th ODI century and second against India as he scored 124 runs in 119 balls. It was his first century in the country.

He also became the first Australian and eighth overall player to score a century in his 100th ODI match. He is the 28th Australian to appear in 100 or more ODIs.


Umesh makes an impressive comeback

Playing his first match of the series, Umesh Yadav picked up four wickets as he reached the 100th wicket milestone in 71 ODIs. He is the seventh Indian pacer to reach the mark.

He also picked the wicket of Australian skipper Steve Smith for a record 7th time across all formats, just behind England's Stuart Broad, who has dismissed Smith nine times.


Another century partnership for India

Rohit Sharma (65) and Ajinkya Rahane (53) gave India a solid start as the pair put on 106 runs together, India's seventh 100-plus opening stand in 2017. Other teams combined have 11 century opening stands to their names this year.

It was also Rahane's third consecutive fifty in this series, taking his ODI half-century count to 22, while Sharma scored his 34th ODI fifty.


Kohli quickest captain to score 2000 ODI runs

Virat Kohli reached the milestone of 2000 ODI runs (as a skipper) to become the fastest captain to reach the mark in 36 innings, surpassing de Villiers (41 innings). As a captain, Kohli has scored 2008 runs, with eight centuries at an average of 74.37.


Pandya scores 500 ODI runs

Hardik Pandya became the first Indian player to score 500-plus runs and pick up 25-plus wickets in the ODI cricket after playing 25 matches. He has scored 530 runs and picked up 28 wickets, and is the 11th player in the world to achieve the feat.

In 2017 till now, Pandya has hit 28 sixes, the most by any player in the ODIs.
