Canadian Defence Minister says his country considered buying Kuwaiti jets

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ottawa, Sept. 29 (Petra)-- Canadian Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan said his country considered buying used fighter jets from Kuwait to temporarily augment the military's aging CF-18 fleet, but the planes won't be available in time.

Canada had planned to buy 18 Super Hornets from Boeing to fill a critical shortage of fighter jets, but has since threatened to go another direction because of the dispute between U.S. and Canadian companies.
