Qatar takes part in 6th ALECSO meet in Kuwait

The State of Qatar participated in the meetings of the sixth Irregular General Conference of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) held yesterday in Kuwait.
The delegation of Qatar was headed by Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Dr Mohammed bin Abdulwahid Al Hammadi.
Kuwait's Dr Saud Al Harbi was elected as Director-General of ALECSO from five candidates of Tunisia, Kuwait, Mauritania, Libya and Iraq.
The conference stressed the importance of joint Arab action and the support of states in all fields of education, culture and science as well as the importance of good selection of the candidate for the post of Director-General among the candidates who possess rich experiences.
