Ukrian- Klitschko announces construction of 'Kyiv Disneyland'

Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko said this at the Kyiv Investment Forum on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Kyiv is a tourist center of Ukraine. In the past year, more than 1.2 million foreign tourists and more than 700,000 domestic tourists visited our city," Klitschko said.

According to him, for example, the entire Slovakia accepted 1.5 million foreign tourists in 2016.

The mayor noted that Kyiv now implemented a number of projects to develop infrastructure for event tourism.

In addition, an investment project for reconstruction of the Hydropark recreational area will be presented this year. In particular, the project will provide for construction of an amusement park like Disneyland. The draft concept of the development of cycling infrastructure in Kyiv provides, in particular, for creation of the bike route Irpin-Kyiv, Klitschko added.
