Jordan- Police Arrest Drug Dealers, Narcotics Confiscated

AMMAN —AlGhad— Personnel with the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) stormed a number of houses in the last few days, leading to arrest of 11 suspects and the confiscation of quantities of narcotics, the Public Security Directorate (PSD)'s media office said in a statement today, Tuesday.

In Rusaifa, South Amman, and Karak, operatives have tracked down and arrested eight suspects in three cases of drug trafficking and distribution.

At one of the border crossings, Anti-Narcotics operatives intercepted an attempted drug smuggle, using a freight truck, with the narcotic pill found in the air tank.

No less than 100 thousand narcotic pills were retrieved from the truck and other location related to three cases, next to quantities of Hashish, Marijuana, Cocaine, and other drugs.

In the Central Badia, a small Marijuana plantation was found in a remote strip of land.

Anti-Narcotic teams confiscated the plants, and investigation is underway to confirm and apprehend the suspects.
