Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani chaired yesterday the Cabinet's regular weekly meeting at its headquarters at the Emiri Diwan premises.
Following the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud stated that:
The Cabinet took the necessary procedures to issue draft law on regulating real estate registration, after the Cabinet reviewed the recommendations of the Advisory Council on the draft law.
The draft included rules related to regulating ownership of real estate, documents that require registration, procedures for registration and ratification of signatures, real estate registry data and the real estate registration committee and its work scope.
The Cabinet approved draft decision on the required regulations and procedures to be followed at the labour dispute resolution committee.
The draft includes provisions on forming committees to settle labor disputes and their work scope, the conditions that require the concerned management to refer the dispute between the employer and employee to the labor dispute resolution committee.
The draft also included provisions on the grace duration where the management refers the dispute to the committee, the method and procedures of referrals, the appeal to canceling penalty decision ordered against the employee, the determination period for the first hearing of the dispute, notifying the dispute parties, appearing before the committee, dispute resolution procedures, notifying both parties of the procedures and decisions issued by the committee.
Air services deal
The Cabinet also approved draft agreement on air services between the governments of the State of Qatar and the Lebanese Republic.
The Cabinet also approved the draft memorandum of understanding in the youth and sports fields signed between the governments of the State of Qatar and Grenada.
The Cabinet approved the draft memorandum of understanding on cooperating in Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic affairs field between the governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of the Philippines
The Cabinet reviewed its draft decision on issuing a national committee for qualifications and academic accreditation.
The Cabinet reviewed the draft decision of the Minister of Interiors on forming an inspection and valuation committee at the Ministry of Interiors, its work system and determining its remuneration.
The Cabinet reviewed the draft decision of the Minister of Transport and Communication on forming a temporary inspection and valuation committee.
The Cabinet reviewed the annual report of the permanent emergency committee for the duration of 1/4/2016 to 31/12/2016.
The report included a statement on the results of the committee's work within the duration and its recommendations.
