INJAZ Qatar signs MoU with QU Career Services Centre to train students

INJAZ Qatar, a non-profit organisation and member of Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar University's Career Services Centre to collaborate and benefit in the field of professional development through which INJAZ Qatar will provide tactical and practical training for Qatar University students.
Under the MoU, signed by Emad Al Khaja, CEO of INJAZ Qatar, and Dr. Khalid Al Khanji, Vice-President of Student Affairs at Qatar University yesterday, INJAZ Qatar will prepare Qatar University students for the job market and will provide them with the required know-how to take forward their work readiness and financial literacy capabilities into the real world. The partnership represents both parties' commitment in the area of development and training of youth skills in support of Qatar National Vision 2030.
Emad Al Khaja, said, 'The Memorandum of Understanding signed yesterday is a result of close cooperation between INJAZ Qatar and Qatar University which will enhance the youth's developmental skills and better prepare them for the workforce. We also hope to create employment by equipping young people with comprehensive and blended training skills and job readiness techniques, create employment and contribute to the local workforce. This partnership is an ideal model for the joint work of local institutions to support the local economy and the goals that Qatar seeks to achieve under Qatar National Vision 2030 and the wise leadership of H H the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The two sides also agreed to compliment the partnership through the provision of organizing seminars and workshops that will enable participants to experience a real-life working environment. These will be achieved through practical training sessions, workshops and exchange of visits helping students to understand the concepts of readiness for the labor market and financial education.
'Our partnership with INJAZ Qatar will result in the provision of a comprehensive career program for students and graduates of Qatar University which will enable them to fully adapt to the diversity of the workforce. Together with INJAZ Qatar, we will prepare young students and graduates at the University to join the labor market with the appropriate expertise. They will develop and achieve stable positions in the workforce, ensure a bright career and also to create a market locally with talented individuals, thus enhancing the economic development of the country. Our aim is arm them with the capabilities to think creatively; become leaders and business leaders who are able to encourage and inspire their communities, said Dr. Khalid Al Khanji. To date, INJAZ Qatar has successful reaching 32,000 students locally. INJAZ Qatar directly engages employers, the private sector, governments and financial services providers to ensure that ambitious young people develop skills that employers seek, matching them with concrete opportunities for employment.
