Uzbekistan to fully liberalize export of goods

Uzbekistan plans to conduct full liberalization of foreign economic activities in the field of products' export in the coming weeks, Sputnik Uzbekistan reported.

First Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan's Chamber of Commerce and Industry Islom Jasimov said that during the Uzbek-Russian business forum, the country is expected to adopt an important document for foreign economic activity in the coming days.

'A draft decree of the Uzbek president has already been prepared,' noted Jasimov. 'It is dedicated to complete liberalization of foreign economic activity in the field of export. This really opens up very wide opportunities, removes obstacles, for example, existing today in the export of horticultural products, as well as other goods.'

The first deputy chairman believes that this will open up wide opportunities for import of Uzbek products by Russian businessmen.

Earlier, representatives of the Uzbek government's economic bloc announced the possibility of introducing a single export brand for Uzbek products – Best in Uzbekistan. This measure is envisaged as part of the draft government decree on cardinal improvement of the system of support of business development, and improvement of business conditions.

It should be recalled that in the first half of 2017, more than 360 firms were engaged in goods export, nearly 120 new types of goods were exported, export of finished textile products, mineral fertilizers, cars and other goods were significantly increased on foreign markets.
