Employer arrested for attack on maid amid claims of theft
Police arrested an employer and a domestic worker on Tuesday after the two women had a fight at a flat in Shau Kei Wan on Hong Kong Island after the owner found valuables were missing.
A 39-year-old local woman surnamed Cheng spoke to police at 4pm and accused her domestic worker of stealing a watch and cosmetics worth HK$500 (US$64) from an apartment at Shaukiwan Centre in Shau Kei Wan, Oriental Daily reported.

When police arrived, the maid's head and hand were injured and bleeding. She was sent to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for medical treatment, HK01.com reported.
After an initial investigation, police arrested Cheng for suspected assault causing bodily harm, while the maid was also arrested for suspected theft.
