Less than a week to go before Qatar Museums (QM) launches a major exhibition as part of the Qatar Germany 2017 Year of Culture, preparations are ongoing for the Driven by German Design exhibition.
Opening on October 3 2017, Driven by German Design is curated by Prof. Dr. Martin Roth, in close partnership with the Volkswagen Group. It traces the evolution of German design over more than six decades, and features numerous design objects loaned from some of Germany's most significant cultural institutions such as the Vitra Design Museum, Neue Sammlung, Porsche Museum and Museum fürAngewandte Kunst Frankfurt.
QM's Years of Culture initiative is designed to promote mutual understanding, recognition and appreciation between countries, developed by Qatar Museums in partnership with the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region, the German Embassy in Doha and the Embassy of Qatar in Germany.
