Sudan says ties with Kuwait have never been closer


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KHARTOUM, Sept 26 (KUNA) -- Sudan on Tuesday heaped praise on its relations with Kuwait, saying that ties between both nations are at their best ever.

The remarks were made by Sudanese state minister for foreign affairs Hamid Mumtaz, as he met with Kuwait's ambassador to Khartoum Bassam Al-Qabandi.

On the North African nation's ties with Kuwait, Mumtaz said that "relations have never been better", thanking Kuwait for its support of his country.

"Kuwaiti aid has left an indelible mark on Sudan," Mumtaz added.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti envoy congratulated the newly appointed Sudanese minister, saying that ties between both nations have made solid progress. (end) mmm.nam
