Draft budget for 2018 submitted to Tajik gov't

Tajikistan's draft state budget for 2018 was coordinated with the profile departments and submitted for consideration to the Standing Committee on Budget under the Government of Tajikistan.

After being studied and approved by the government, the draft state budget will be sent to the lower house of parliament for approval, Avesta reported with reference to the Finance Ministry.

The revenue part of the budget for the next year is forecasted at the level of more than 20.6 billion somoni, which is 7.5 percent more than the revenue part of this year's budget, according to the Finance Ministry.

The expenditure part of the budget will amount to 20.9 billion somoni. The budget deficit in 2018 is set at 0.5 percent of the total GDP of the republic.

The total volume of the republic's GDP in the draft state budget for the next year is projected at more than 66.8 billion somoni (more than $7.5 billion according to the current official rate).

The real growth of the economy is envisaged at the level of 7 percent. The inflation is also envisaged at the level of 7 percent.

The budget for the next year, as in previous years, will be of a social nature.

The growth of the Tajik economy is projected at the level of 7 percent in the current year.
