(MENAFN) Samsung Heavy Industries Co. said that it settled USD968mln (1.1bln won) deal to build six container vessels.
As it will deliver them by the end of 2019, the S. Korean shipyard did not reveal the name of the buyer but sources are guessing the customer may be MSC, the second largest shipping firm in the world.
Earlier, both S. Korean shipbuilders, Samsung Heavy and Daewoo Shipbuilding are expected to win a combined USD1.5bln in fresh deals.
