Lyft to expand operations in London after meeting officials
(MENAFN) Uber's closest US rival in the taxi-hailing business, Lyft, had met repeatedly with officials from London's transport regulator over the past year to target the city for international expansion.
Transport for London (TFL) that is responsible of taxis and private hire car operators, revealed details of the meetings with Lyft officials to respond to the government freedom of information request in July.
However, the ride-hailing firm is expected to enter London's market which will result Uber to face its first well-funded competitor in Europe.
