Sudan Welcomes US Decision to Remove it from the List of Countries whose Citizens Banned of Entry

Khartoum, Muharram 5, 1439 H., September 25, 2017, SPA -- Sudan welcomed here today the US decision to remove it from the list of countries whose citizens have been restricted to enter the United States.
The Sudanese Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued here today that the decision confirms the confidence of the US administration in the competence of the competent Sudanese authorities, their ability and professionalism in monitoring the movement of passengers from and through Sudanese airports, including the qualification and experience, devices and equipment to enable them to audit and check the identities of passengers, exchange information and cooperation with all friendly countries."
The ministry stressed that this step represents an important positive development in the bilateral relations between the two countries and a natural outcome of a long and frank dialogue, joint efforts by several relevant institutions of the two sides and close cooperation between the two countries in international and regional issues of common interest.
The ministry renewed the determination of the Sudanese government to exert more efforts with the US administration to remove any obstacles to the full normalization of relations between the two countries, to achieve the common interests of the peoples of the two countries.
