SHARJAH, 25th September, 2017 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, attended the inauguration of the 17th edition of the Sharjah International Narrator Forum, SINF, on Monday, being held under the theme, ‘Biographies and Epics'.
The three-day event, at the University City Hall, in Sharjah, organised by the Sharjah Institute of Heritage, features the participation of 117 narrators and experts from 25 different countries.
Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Sharjah Heritage Institute Chairman, delivered the opening speech, praising the directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to promote and preserve cultural heritage.
Al Musallam added that Kuwait has been announced as Guest of Honour of the 17th edition of the forum for its impressive contributions to the promotion of narration.
During the inauguration ceremony, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, accompanied by Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, honoured a number of narrators.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials, members of the diplomatic corps and representatives of cultural and heritage institutions from around the world.
