Red Bull honours world champion at Doha ceremony

Red Bull Athlete, Qatar's star high jumper Mutaz Essa Barshim returned to Doha earlier this month following the continuous successes throughout the Summer.
Welcoming and honouring the world champion, Red Bull gathered esteemed members of the Qatari press at a dinner hosted at Burj Al Hamam Restaurant at The Pearl, Doha, in the presence of the Austrian Ambassador to Qatar Willy Kempell, and members of the Red Bull team.
Barshim's summer was loaded with global achievements, notably the gold medal for the men's high jump at the final of the IAAF World Championships held in London earlier in August, winning the IAAF Diamond League Championship 2017, and breaking world records at some of Diamond League's meets.
Speaking on the occasion, Barshim thanked the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for his continuous support, H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Olympic Committee President as well as all his partners and supporters.
Commenting on his partnership with Red Bull, Barshim said: 'I‘m glad and pleased that my partners are like my family! The support I'm getting is always great. The team at Red Bull are always doing a great job, always there for support and working together for providing what will further incentivise me to give more and more.
'Not to forget the fun is whenever I have an idea they always do their best to make it happen no matter how crazy it is.
The young star has easily become Qatar's pride and glory as the highest contender for medals at the Olympics. Barshim continues to be a global benchmark in the world of athletics, making history one soaring jump after another.
