Kuwait- Public Works Ministry to open 5 new roads


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 24 (KUNA) -- Ministry of Public Works announced Sunday it would open five new roads in Kuwait, said Assistant Undersecretary for Road Engineering, Eng. Ahmad Al-Hassan. The new projects that will be opened are Shekih Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge with Sulaibiya and Doha connections, including parts of Al-Jahra Road and Jamal Abdulnasser and the western parts of Jamal Abdulnasser road as well as roads leading into Jaber Al-Ahmad city.

Ministry of Public works is keeping track of all the infrastructure projects inlcuding upgrading the First Ring Road and Al-Ghaus Street.

Plans for infrastructure upgrades include, Al-Salmi Road, The Avenues, Al-Mutlaa, Al-Abdali and other roads.

Al-Hassan added that the Ministry of Public Works is doing its best to resolve the traffic problem in Kuwait, with help from the Ministy of Electricty and Water, Kuwait Municipality, Ministry of Communications and the General Directorate of Traffic. (end) am.ayf
