Lufthansa provides USD239mn for Etihad unit

(MENAFN) Germany-based Lufthansa offered USD239mn and showed its willingness to pay 100mn euros in order to cover the operating costs of the bankrupt firm to keep its activities temporarily.

Meanwhile, Air Berlin received 150mn euros loan from the German government to be able to maintain the firm running for another three months.

Accordingly, Etihad cannot save the ailing Air Berlin, while the German aviation firm's performance has been deteriorating fast.
