China's lottery sales rose 13.1 pct in August
(MENAFN) The Ministry of Finance stated that China's lottery sales rose 13.1 percent year on year to 35.07bn yuan (about USD5.32bn) in August.
Sales of welfare lottery tickets increased 10 percent year on year to 17.47 bn Yuan last month, while sports lottery sales rose 16.4 percent to 17.59 bn Yuan, the ministry said.
Money from lottery ticket sales must cover administrative fees, public welfare projects and prize money, in accordance with lottery management rules.
