Oman- Letter to the editor:Beware of social media scammers!

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The increasing number of users on social media will affect active users because of some dummy accounts. These could be scammers who are increasing by the day.

These scammers spread fake news misleading people. They also hack into your accounts and steal important personal information to deceive others in your name.

I would like to advise all active social media users to take good care of your personal information and avoid sharing it in public in terms of comments or profile. One should use all the necessary security measures in the applications settings and keep personal information hidden.

Also, it is important that when we search for valid information on social media we should ensure that the information we get is valid, reliable and verified.
