Oman- Bank Sohar supports Al Noor Association for the Blind in Salalah


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- As part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities under the Sohar al Atta campaign, Bank Sohar recently extended its support to the Salalah branch of the Al Noor Association for the Blind.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that the bank has reached out to the association with assistance to support its objectives for the visually impaired. The funds contributed this time will be used to purchase voice recognition applications that will further aid the visually impaired interact with smart devices.

The donation cheque was handed over to Awadh Rajab Bait Shruba, chairman of Al Noor Association for the Blind - Salalah branch, by Munira Abdulnabi Macki, GM HR & Corporate Support at Bank Sohar.

Munira said, 'Giving back to society and assisting in the development of self-reliant communities have been important social objectives for Bank Sohar since inception. As a community oriented bank we are committed to supporting initiatives that raise self-sustaining communities and serve impoverished sections of society.

'The Al Noor Association for the Blind, Salalah branch is one such organisation that we have consistently supported for its dedication towards serving the interests of Oman's visually impaired citizens and helping them lead normal lives.'

Shruba said, 'We are once again grateful to Bank Sohar for their generosity and commitment in supporting the goals of the association.'
