Jordan- King Returns Home from New York

AMMAN — his majesty King Abdullah II on Friday returned back home after concluding a working visit to New York, US, where he led Jordan's delegation to the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly.

While in New York, King Abdullah held a series of meetings with heads of states and delegations participating in the UN gathering. The talks dealt with the latest regional and international developments and efforts aimed at pushing the peace process forward.

The King's meetings also tackled counterterror efforts and development in Syria, as well as means of supporting Jordan with regard of the Syrian refugees.

King Abdullah also met the US President Donald Trump and discussed with him ways to revive the Palestinian-Israeli peace process.

Talks also dealt with ways to boost cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries and upgrade coordination and consultation on different issues.
