Kuwait- Hawally restaurants raided

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 23: The Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality declared that the emergency team of Hawally Municipality launched an inspection campaign on restaurants and shops in Hawally area during which 27 citations were issued and 20 kilograms of spoiled food items were confiscated, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

'These citations were issued for various violations such as selling nutritional items before obtaining the necessary license, employing laborers who do not have health certificates, opening shops without licenses, advertising without obtaining license and selling expired food items. 'The campaign was part of the successful campaign titled 'With Your Cooperation, We Make It Beautiful' launched by the department.

'Head of the emergency team Reyad Al-Rabie said such campaigns will continue in the mornings and evenings with the aim of ensuring the owners of shops and restaurants abide by the laws and regulations of Kuwait Municipality, stressing the importance of applying the law. 'The Public Relations Department urged the public not to hesitate in calling the hotline number 139 or contacting Kuwait Municipality via social media to its account @kuwmun for reporting any complaints or issues so that necessary action can be taken accordingly.
