Qatar- QSE benchmark index gains 12.72 points

Qatar Stock Exchange's (QSE) benchmark index gained 12.72 points, or 0.15 percent, when the bourse closed trading at 8,360.77 points yesterday.
The volume of shares traded increased to 12.40 million from 10.42 million on Wednesday and the value of shares decreased to QR167.77m from QR331.11m on Wednesday.
From the 45 companies listed on QSE, shares of 41 saw trading yesterday. From these, 26 gained, 13 closed lower, and two remained unchanged.
Indices of four sectors in green and three sectors ended in red today. QSE Total Return Index gained 0.15 percent to 14,020.50 points. QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index increased 0.39 percent to 3,369.56 points and QSE All Share Index added 0.11 percent to 2,381.41 points, reports QNA.
When compared on weekly basis, the QSE index lost 48.71 points, or 0.58 percent, last week compared to previous week.
Trading value last week decreased by 15.61 percent to reach QR1.05bn compared to QR1.25bn.
Trading volume increased by 0.26 percent to reach 58.46 million shares, as against 58.30 million shares, while the number of transactions fell by 21.08 percent, to reach 12,122 transactions as compared to 15,360 transactions.
Market cap fell by 0.53 percent to reach QR456.42bn as compared to QR458.86bn at the end of previous week.
Banking and financial services sector led traded value last week with 39.65 percent of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 27.68 percent. Telecoms sector accounted for 13.36 percent and Real Estate sector accounted for 8.62 percent.
Industries sector led traded volume last week with 30.57 percent of the total traded volume. Banking and financial services sector accounted for 29.20 percent. Telecoms sector accounted for 22.73 percent and real estate sector accounted 12.40 percent.
Banking and financial services sector led traded number of transactions last week with 32.63 percent of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 26.25 percent.
Transportation sector accounted for 12.28 percent and Real Estate sector accounted for 10.65 percent.
