Kuwait urges Asian countries to promote dialogue within ACD


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) NEW YORK, Sept 21 (KUNA) -- Kuwait First Deputy Premie and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah called on Asian countries Thursday to further promote dialogue within the Asian Dialogue Cooperation (ACD).

Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, speaking at a ministerial meeting of the ACD countries, urged the member countries to strengthen dialogue on basis of outcome of the First ACD summit that was held in Kuwait in October 2012, and the second summit in Thailand last year.

The promotion of dialogue, he added, would strengthen cooperation among ACD countries, particularly in development, trade and investment.

The Kuwaiti delegation accompanying Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled to the ministerial meeting, which was held on sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York, included Assistant Foreign Minister for the Foreign Minister office Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Sabah, Kuwaitآ's permanent representative to the UN Mansour Al-Otaibi and Assistant foreign Minister for International Organizations Nasser Al-Hayyen.
