UAE-Spain Economic Forum explores ways to increase trade and investment

MADRID, 21st September, 2017 (WAM) -- The UAE-Spain Economic Forum has explored ways to increase trade and investment between the two sides.

Organised by Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry in coordination with the UAE Embassy in Madrid and Dubai Investments, the forum was held to apprise Spanish investors from various economic sectors to the investment opportunities available in the UAE in the light of the political and economic stability in the country.

In her speech during the forum, Sara Ghazi Al-Muhari, Second Secretary of the UAE Embassy, said, that the economic and political stability in the UAE under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has resulted in attracting a large number of Spanish companies and corporations to the UAE.

The Under-Secretary of Spain Ministry of Trade hailed the distinguished economic and trade relations between Spain and the UAE. She called on Spanish companies to invest and contribute to achieving multiple projects in the UAE.

She also stressed that the foreign trade policy of Spain classifies the UAE as a strategic partner due to the high volume of trade exchange between the two countries, pointing out that there was a rise in the Spanish exports to the UAE by 12.9 percent in 2017.
