Canada suspected to withdraw NAFTA if necessary


(MENAFN) Canadian trade experts said that Canada's threats to withdrew NAFTA talks if necessary its limited success in diversifying exports leaves the nation too reliant on US markets to play hardball.

On Saturday, negotiators from Canada, Mexico and the US will gather in Ottawa to discuss modernizing the North American Free Trade Agreement with many items yet to be broached.

While US President Donald Trump will ditch the deal unless major changes are made, Canada suggested it will withdraw if the US pushed to remove a key dispute-settlement mechanism.
