Ukraine moves up in international open data rankings PM Groysman

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukraine has significantly strengthened its positions in the international open data ratings over the past year.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman posted this on Facebook.

"It is important to mention that Ukraine has moved 45 positions and 30 positions up in the international open data rankings over the past year. I assure that development of open data will remain one of the priorities of the government," Groysman stressed.

He noted that the development of open government data had a great potential in the modern world. "Open data are not only an increase in the level of transparency and efficiency of the government bodies, but also a path towards the development of a powerful industry. The successful socially important and commercial projects, whose turnover in the EU already amounts to hundreds of millions of euros per year, are implemented precisely on the basis of government data which became open," the Prime Minister added.
