Ukraine, Brazil agree to intensify political and economic cooperation


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin has agreed with Foreign Minister of Brazil Aloysio Nunes Ferreira to intensify a political dialogue between Ukraine and Brazil and deepening of trade and economic cooperation.

This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine following a meeting of the foreign ministers during the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly.

"During the meeting, the ministers agreed on intensifying a political dialogue between Ukraine and Brazil, deepening cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian fields," the report reads.

The parties also discussed the time frame of the 7th meeting of the Ukrainian-Brazilian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

Aloysio Nunes noted the significant contribution of the Ukrainian community to the development of the economy and culture of Brazil.

Klimkin invited his Brazilian counterpart to visit Ukraine. In turn, the foreign minister of Brazil confirmed the invitation to the President of Ukraine to visit Brazil.
