Qatar- Dialogue only solution to end crisis: FM

Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani continued his high-level meetings with Ministers and senior officials of different countries and international organisations on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
During his meetings with Ministers from Italy, Ukraine and Australia, the Foreign Minister discussed the unjust siege imposed on Qatar and humanitarian repercussions caused by the siege. He stressed that dialogue is the solution to the crisis.
On the sidelines of the session of the UN General Assembly, he met with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini; Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, Angelino Alfano; Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Pavlo Klimkin; and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia, Julie Bishop.
The Foreign Minister meetings discussed bilateral relations and means of developing them, in addition to the regional developments, especially in Syria, Libya and Yemen.
The Foreign Minister met with Prime Minister of Somalia Hassan Ali Khayre. They discussed bilateral relations and means of boosting them as well as a number of issues of common concern.
The Foreign Minister briefed Prime Minister about the latest developments in the Gulf crisis and all illegal measures taken against Qatar.
The Foreign Minister also met with President of the International Crisis Group, Jean-Marie Guehenno, on the sidelines of the session. The meeting discussed relations between Qatar and the Group along with cooperation in the fields of preventing bloody clashes and settling disputes around the world.
The Foreign Minister also participated in the high-level event on Libya held today on the sidelines of the session.
The meeting aimed at reviewing the progress achieved, formulate a political commitment to a sustainable solution to the Libyan crisis and strengthen international coordination to support Libyan institutions in the areas of security, humanitarian assistance and social and economic development.
