Qatar- Skill development program: 2nd batch graduates

The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, under the auspices of Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, graduated the second batch of participants in the program on skill development of senior and supervisory position holders, which featured 112 participants of the different government entities.
In a speech given yesterday during the graduation ceremony, Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs H E Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi said the program is one of the ministry's successes in this field and aims to develop the skills of senior and supervisory position holders at government entities so as to ensure that current and future leaderships keep a thorough approach in order to continue to offer excellent services at the local and regional levels and empower them to carry out their duties and responsibilities in line with the best global standards in the field of administrative development through the different aspects of the program.
Al Nuaimi stressed the attention that the wise leadership pays to the Qatari individual and the importance of the role of Qatari leaderships, referring in this regard to the speech of Emir
H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in which he said 'the real source wealth of countries is the human being and the source of their poverty is the human being as well, and that is how countries differ from each other.
He highlighted the importance of qualifying leaders at the different government entities as the cornerstone on whom falls the responsibility towards the state projects and plans as well as the staff. The Minister thanked Doha Institute for Graduate Studies for its effective contribution to the program and praised the efforts of the institute's management in attracting expert trainers and the best training tools while supporting the program with international experiments.
He pointed to Qatar's achievements in the recent years in terms of meeting global standards. Qatar ranked the first among Arab states and 33rd among 188 world countries on the Human Development Index (HDI) in March 2017, which was an achievement that resulted from constant and well-planned efforts of the different government entities.
The program aims to qualify Qatari personnel capable of assuming leading and supervisory positions and empower them to carry out the necessary duties, which reflect Qatar National Vision 2030. It also aims to activate the roles and powers of government departments as the linking point between senior leadership and staff.
The program included 10 workshops in the administrative, behavioral, financial and legal fields.
