Qatar and Kuwait boost ties

New York:Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday met with the Emir of Kuwait, H H Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, at the headquarters of Kuwait's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.

The meeting reviewed the fraternal relations between the two countries and ways of strengthening to serve the interests of the two brotherly people, in addition to the latest developments on the regional and international arenas.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief of Kuwait National Guard Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Kuwait's Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, and the official delegation accompanying the Emir of Kuwait. The meeting was also attended by Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir.

The Emir also met with Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov and the accompanying delegation at the headquarters of Qatar's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.

The Emir also met with President of the Republic of Paraguay, Horacio Cartes; President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, and President of the Republic of Guinea, Alpha Conde, in New York yesterday.

The Emir also have a separate meeting with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Prince Zeid bin Ra'ad.
