Baghdad, Dhul-Hijjah, 29 1438 H., September 20, 2017, SPA -- Iraqi President Fuad Masum agreed with the President of the Kurdistan region of Iraq Massoud Barzani today, to send a high-level delegation from the region to Baghdad during the next two days to discuss with the federal government outstanding issues, including the referendum of Kurdstan to be implemented on 25 this month.
A statement issued by the Presidency of Iraq said that the agreement between Masoum and Barzani to send the delegation to Baghdad was struck during their meeting in the city of Sulaymaniyah today.
This took place in the presence of Vice-President of the Territory Kosrat Rasul and a number of leaders of Kurdish parties who exchanged views on the latest developments in the political situation.
During the meeting, they stressed the necessity of concerted efforts and resorting to constructive dialogue to resolve controversial issues.
