Qatar Charity campaign to raise QR7m
Qatar Charity is waging a campaign to raise QR7m to provide school supplies to more than 36,000 orphans in 27 countries worldwide for this academic year.
The campaign 'Back-to-Schools, aims at collecting more than QR7m to create educational opportunities to orphan children, providing them with school accessories like bags, uniforms and many other items. The campaign will help alleviate the suffering of children in poor societies by taking care of their various needs in the fields of education, health, nutrition, and others, Director of QC's Operations Department Khalid Al Yafei said.
Al Yafei added that QC launched the project to provide to reduce the phenomenon of dropout of students from school. QC seeks to provide more than 36 thousand bags containing the necessary stationery, and uniforms at a cost of QR7.2m.
