Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue (DICID) will organise a seminar on September 27 on the role of dialogue in resolving crisis, highlighting the crisis of the siege of Qatar as an example, in order to emphasize the importance of dialogue in the building of human societies and its fundamental role in relations between countries.
The seminar brings together an elite of thinkers, intellectuals and scholars to discuss five main themes related to the role of dialogue in resolving crises from the perspective of the DICID, the need for dialogue, and the reasons for its absence in the siege crisis.
Chairman of Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue Dr. Ibrahim Al Nuaimi said that the current crisis is unprecedented in the region, which requires, first of all, to consider, try to explain, and analyze. Regardless of the irrational reasons behind the siege, the government, the people and the civil society organizations in Qatar believe in the need for dialogue, based on clear foundations, to find a suitable solution, Dr. Al Nuaimi underlined.
He affirmed that dictations are rejected and are inconsistent with the simplest values of dialogue, which is confirmed by the DICID in all its activities and publications.
Dr. Al Nuaimia reiterated that the State of Qatar will not accept any measures that impinge on its sovereignty, but through a serious and constructive dialogue all obstacles can be overcome.
