The meeting also discusses the existing cooperation between the organization and the standardization bodies, organizations and associations. In addition, the meeting discusses the new policy of the organisation regarding distribution, sales and re-use of its publications and protection of its copyrights, and other related topics.
ISO is one of the most important organizations working in the field of issuing international standards, in addition to other activities related to standardization processes. In this regard, ISO issues international standards through its international committees, which consist of representatives of the competent authorities in the government sectors and non-governmental organizations through national standards bodies. Some of the important versions of the standards issued are ISO 9000 series, ISO 14000 series and ISO 22000 series, as well as international technical manuals on conformity assessment and service activities, which are considered the main reference for national standards.
