The only gold of the day was landed by Ju Jitsu world number three, Rana Qubbaj, who won the -70kg title despite carrying a shoulder injury.

She beat Mongolia's Bayartuul Edene by submission in the final. There were also Ju Jitsu silver medals for Hamzeh Al Rasheed (-77kg) and Ruba Al Sayyegh (-62kg), while bronze medals were picked up by Haidar Al Rasheed (-85kg) and Zeid Sami (-94kg). But Jordan's Monday glory was not confined to the Ju Jitsu team. In Taekwondo, Anas Al Adarbeh won bronze in the -74kg weight.
