Foreign Ministry follows up on case of Jordanians detained in Eilat


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sept. 20 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs on Wednesday said that it is coordinating with the Jordanian embassy in Tel Aviv to follow up on the case of three Jordanians arrested in Eilat.

Three Jordanians were arrested Tuesday evening for questioning in the case of attacking an Israeli girl in one of Eilat's tourists hotel.

Two of the arrested Jordanians were released, while the other one is still being held for further investigation on suspicions of having committed a criminal offence with the purpose of robbery, the initial investigations revealed.

Jordanian consul to Tel Aviv is currently in Eilat to follow up on details and procedures of the investigation, the ministry added.
