(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sept.20 (Petra) -- A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, but moderate conditions will continue to prevail in the capital and the hilly areas, while it will be relatively hot in the desert, the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) daily update .
Temperatures will rise slightly on Thursday, but similar moderate conditions will remain with clouds at low altitudes and northwesterly moderate winds picking up at times. Autumn-like weather is expected to prevail Friday in Amman and the hilly areas, while it will be relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba. Low clouds are also expected in the northern parts of the country with northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD added.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman will reach 31 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 19 at night, while mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will range between a high of 36 degrees and a low of 26, the JMD said.
