King Solomon, the bird and the fake pious beard

(MENAFN- Arab Times) IT HAS been narrated that a thirsty bird spotted a water pool from above and there were children playing beside the pool. Despite its thirst, the bird was afraid to go to the pool to quench its thirst for fear that the children might hurt it out of curiosity.

The bird waited until the children went away. As it was drinking from the pool, it saw a bearded man approaching. Instead of flying away, the bird assumed that the man is pious due to his beard and he wouldn't attempt to hurt the bird in any way. Unfortunately, the bearded man threw a stone at the bird and poked one of its eyes.

This story took place during the time of Prophet Suleiman (PBUH), who is known as King Solomon. The bird went to complain to the king who is known for being fair and just. The king ordered poking one of the eyes of the bearded man based on the principle, 'An eye for an eye'.

However, the bird objected to the ruling. Instead, the bird asked the king to order shaving of the beard because the eye is not the one that deceived the bird but the beard, so shaving it will prevent others from getting deceived by it.

Recent decades witnessed the spread of opportunistic religiousness phenomenon which is based on appearance, especially among members and followers of political groups and movements who strive to promote their political projects by adopting pious appearance.

In the last four decades, we witnessed how these people practiced dictatorship on the basis of beards and prayer beads in most Arab communities. Through such deception, they actualized some of their objectives.

During the emotional and patriotic period which led to the Jan 25 revolution, the people of Egypt fell into the trap of the Muslim Brotherhood Group which took advantage of the situation to promote its plans. This made it easy for them to take over the rule of Egypt which they have been eyeing since 1928.

However, when the people of Egypt discovered the reality about this group, they resisted against the 'insolent office' rule in less than a year. The rule ended on June 30 when the military and the Egyptians stood together in a bid to rescue Egypt.

Historically, these opportunistic beards have been hiding terrorist gangs which are offshoots of the 'Brotherhood' group in Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Algeria and other Arab countries.

Apart from the language, these groups are similar to another opportunistic bearded group of the Mullah regime, which has been spreading the terrorist militia virus by forming groups such as 'Hezbollah' or colluding with the 'Brotherhood' through what is known as 'al-Qaeda', 'DAESH' and other groups found in every corner of the Arab world.

Without a doubt, many innocent people fell in the net of the beard deception which strived to overthrow the ruling regimes in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and others in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). In fact, their deception included tricking elites in various establishments in those countries.

These groups projected the appearance of piety. At the same time, they are responsible, directly or indirectly, for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in Algeria, Yemen, Lebanon, Libya, Iraq, Syria and Somalia.

In all of these countries, the deceptive bearded men are behind the widespread corruption and bribery, in addition to delayed progress of societies. They impose their will on people through the power of their appearance.

Therefore, it is imperative for the Arab and Muslim worlds to politically uproot such groups in order to rescue themselves from the crisis they are living in, or else, these two worlds will remain prisoners of endless violence.

Indeed, it is time for Muslims and Arabs to put an end to these groups and the countries which are using them to achieve their objectives which, in reality, are way beyond their abilities; whereas they continue to benefit from fake beards in spreading the epidemic of causing division in communities and their establishments.

Testimony to that is the comparison of the Arab situation four decades ago and its current situation, where cultural feminism was planted by politicized beards through the trick of adopting the appearance of piety while hiding the savagery of blood and destruction.

Considering this catastrophe caused by those beards, it won't hurt if we call upon everyone to benefit from the bird and the king's acceptance of the bird's request to remove the source of deception.
