Residents have praised the speech of Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the opening session of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The residents said that the speech has made entire Qatar proud. 'Qatar will keep supporting poor people across the globe without any discrimination. The speech showed that despite being under the illegal blockade by siege countries, Qatar's commitment towards humanity remains intact, said Abu Ahmed, a Qatari citizen.

The people lauded the fact that the Emir raised the issues of Arab, Palestinian and persecuted people of Myanmar calling the international community to bring about immediate solutions for them.
The residents also praised the Emir for mentioning citizens and expatriates and appreciating them for standing firm against illegal blockade. 'The speech of the Emir is a pride for the people in all over the world because he called for dialogue and talks to solve the disputes peacefully, said Talha.
Dr. Ayed Bin Dabassan Al Qahtani, Chairman of the Board of Trustees RAF, said that the speech delivered by H H the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to the United Nations General Assembly 'is a word of pride for all countries.
'The Emir courageously explained the size of the treacherous regional conspiracy which has exceeded all international norms and laws and built on lies targeting the people of Qatar and its sovereignty.
Dr Al-Qahtani further said: 'The Emir spoke with wisdom of the commander on the priority of maintaining international peace and security towards people in Palestine and Iraq. Also, calling on the Government of Myanmar to take their legal and moral responsibility to stop the ethnic cleansing of RohingyaMuslims.
Al-Qahtani said that the speech of the Emir was clear and expressive to the people of Qatar.
The Emir explained our priorities in spreading peace and combating terrorism in all its forms on the individual and international levels according to the UN strategies.
