Qatar, Turkey economy ministers meet at UN
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani, Minister of Economy and Commerce, met Nihat Zeybekci, Minister of Economy of Turkey, on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Their meeting touched upon promoting bilateral relations and cooperation in the economic, trade and investment fields. Qatar and Turkey have strong economic and trade relations, reflected positively in the volume of bilateral trade, which amounted to QR2bn in the first half of 2017. Over the past years, both the countries have signed several tradeagreements, including the economic and technical cooperation agreement and an agreement on the encouragement and reciprocal protection of investments.
